## How to build Network States: ### Build a Community A network state is nothing without a network. Community building is foundational for a successful Network State. How to build a community is already the subject of much literature and I don't have any novel insights to add so I'm not going to spend much time discussing it here. ### Identify Your Core Moral Innovation Building a network state is an endeavor in moral innovation. To build a successful one it should be relatively simple to state. Something like: A life intentionally lived is better Pottery is a great hobby to bring people together while avoiding the traps of cultish behavior Intergenerational Communities lead to better people. Once the core moral insight has been identified, you are presented with an option. Which is how many different philosophies that all agree on this do you want define as being acceptable. What this often looks like is which because(s) are seen as valid by the community. Taking two of our previous examples: A life intentionally lived is better - because spontaneity is often a result of immaturity (?) - because zen buddhism is true (?) - because intentionality is how we can be present in our decisions (?) Pottery is a great hobby to bring people together while avoiding the traps of cultish behavior - because most other social spaces have totalizing tendencies (?) - because the art form of pottery is inherently meditative in way other art forms aren't (?) Once this has been done, it becomes now much easier to coalition build. See Network states aren't truly one community, they're communities of aligned communities all coming together with something like a shared membership based on the fact of the shared values and operating rules by all the members. ### Buy and build the first node Nodes come in many different shapes and sizes, for some networks is pottery studio, for others it's a hub (third space), for some others it's apartment buildings, and for others it's houses/land. All of these things are specifically real-estate assets. That the key thing, the cloud is taking the land. It's imperative that this is done in a way that cement the ownership firmly on the side of the cloud. That means ownership not renting not mortgaged but outright owned. Currently the crypto-verse only locks money not wealth. This is strategically a idiotic as it leaves the whole ecosystems in a place of extreme precarity. To do this effectively we can leverage the community and coalition we've built to be our cloud financiers. When it comes to setting up the legal structure for holding the title and deed for these assets I recommend using the [[4F Strategy]].
